Partnerize Shopify App - How to resolve truncated sale data



For users who installed the Shopify app before August 10, 2023, we've noticed an intermittent issue where certain sales data gets truncated during checkout. This may lead to incomplete product information in conversion tracking reports. Below are steps to resolve this : 


NOTE : This does NOT apply if you are using Shopify's extensibility checkout


Steps to update Shopify app

If you are currently using Partnerize's Shopify app to track conversion data for you affiliate program, we strongly recommend you make one small configuration change to safeguard your affiliate tracking:  

  • Go to the App settings and obtain the tracking code (the <div> tag).  This should now be url encoded

  • Copy this code
  • Go to Settings > Checkout > Order Status page

  • Paste the previously copied code into Additional Scripts and Save

If you have the Tax Settings feature already enabled (shown below), please ensure that this setting remains enabled after the change has been applied:
